Well following on from our trip to the Slaley show at the weekend I had some serious cleaning of the car and trailer to do. We take bio security very seriously, so after every trip out the trailer gets disinfected and pressure washed to help minimise any risk of infection or contamination. This time there was the added half ton of mud we dragged out of the field with us whilst being towed out, which somehow seemed to have managed to hang on all the way home.
You can imagine the state I was in when I'd finished, so I thought I may as well go out with the muck truck and clean up the paddocks again. I'd had a visit from Carol and Dave our regular manure collectors, so I thought I'd restock the bag! There is getting more and more of it as the cria get bigger and numbers increase.
Tomorrow will be a day of clean jobs I think - and trying not to get too excited. Only two more sleeps until our big announcement!

Come on spill the beans!
Anyway I thought you were in the 'poor alpaca owners' group?
Spend, spend, spend, and married to a banker as well.
Only one more sleep and I'll spill the beans!
Being married to a banker means he knows where to get the cheap loans, we're sttill in the 'poor alpaca owners' group :-)
Great news about Lily.
Debbie
